The load flow analysis will determine the electrical distribution systems power flow, demand flow, voltage drop, power factor correction, automatic device evaluation, automatic temperature correction and real and reactive power losses.

Actual electrical metering conditions will be required in order to run the load flow analysis. An electrical meter(s) would be placed at certain locations on the distribution system and the real world values would be input into the load flow analysis program allowing the study to be run at existing conditions. Future loading values may be included for ‘what-if’ studies when determining potential upgrades to the distribution system. Future loading will determine bus, transformer, and cable overload issues.
