A harmonic analysis (HA) is especially valuable for a system with non-linear loads such as variable frequency drives (VFD), uninterruptable power supplies (UPS), computers, etc. Harmonic Analysis is performed to calculate the voltage distortion and current demand distortion at the point of common coupling (PCC) with the utility. The distortions levels must be within those defined in IEEE Standard for Harmonic Control in Electrical Power Systems (IEEE Std. 519-2022).
